Tell it once. Keep it always.

We capture a life story through guided conversation and turn it into a polished autobiography, for the people you love.

Why us

Why My Story Now

Most lives go untold. We change that. Through guided voice conversation with an AI shaped by a published ghostwriter, we capture the stories that made you - and turn them into a polished autobiography your family can treasure for generations.

Shaped by a real ghostwriter

Jess Whitehill - published ghostwriter and screenwriter - designed every question and chose the literary voices our AI writes in. The craft is hers; the AI is the assistant.

Eight writing styles

Choose the literary voice that fits your life - from sparse and biblical to warm and conversational.

Nothing invented

Every word traces to something you actually said. We weave; we never invent.

Take a look at what an interview feels like.

A relaxed, guided conversation - you talk, and we capture every detail and shape it into your book.

You talk. We take care of the writing.

How it works

Three steps. At your pace.

Portrait of Jess Whitehill, founder and ghostwriter of My Story Now

Step 1

We listen.

Through a guided interview at your own pace - voice or text, paused and resumed as life allows - we help you tell the story that's been waiting to be told.

Jess Whitehill, founder & ghostwriter. Every interview is shaped by her craft.

Step 2

We weave.

Your words, in your chosen voice - from gonzo to gentle, journalistic to literary - shaped into a full-length autobiography. Every fact comes from you. Nothing invented.

Step 3

You hold it.

A beautifully bound book - soft cover, uncoated cream paper, with a glossy photo signature for the moments you want shown. Printed to order, shipped direct.

We don't just capture stories. We shape them.

Who this is for

Stories worth keeping.

Families racing time

For when you've realised the stories are going. Dementia, terminal illness, or simply time - we help you capture what cannot wait.

Legacy builders

For when you want to leave more than your name. Grandparents, parents, retirees - your story belongs to the people you love.

Anyone with a story worth telling

For everyone in between. You don't need to have built an empire. You just need to have lived.

Eight voices, one story

Your life, in a voice that fits.

Each voice is drawn from a real literary tradition. You'll choose yours after you begin - and you can change it later.

Chapter One - The Brownings

It was a normal weekday morning in the Browning household. Four siblings in crinkled uniforms rushing around as they shoved Vegemite toast in their mouths, arguing over who had taken the longest hot shower. Mum was making the final touches to our lunchboxes while the three labradors made circles around the chaos, their tails sweeping crumbs off the kitchen floor.

Dad was already in the car. He'd be in the car most mornings, the engine running, hand on the horn at exactly 8:14. We had four minutes from when that horn first sounded to when the second blast came - and the second blast was non-negotiable. Mum used to say Dad's car horn raised four children faster than her own voice ever did.

I was the eldest. I was meant to set the example. Instead, most mornings, I was the one running back inside for the maths book I'd sworn I'd packed the night before.

From the founder

“After fifteen years of ghostwriting life stories, I've learned most people don't struggle with having something to say - they struggle with knowing how to say it. My Story Now was built to make that part simple. The technology is ours. The story is yours. We just help you tell it.”

- Jess Whitehill, founder & ghostwriter
